As a first attempt to create music using improvisation as a primary material, the debut album of the Geneva based trio VLL678 offers a wide range of sound landscape based on a personal language mixing free speech and composition driving the three musicians to step beyond the ordinary use of their instruments and meet somewhere in the margins of their usual register. Each piece shows how this confrontation of their singularity to the rigor of writing can lead to radical and intense experimentations - successfully chaotic, harsh, elating or extremely precise - turning music into a living and constantly reinvented matter drums, guitar and voice combine to produce in a great diversity.
