El Caco's album The Search is the band's winning ace up their sleeve. Featuring 11 bone-crushing tracks, the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Solid Rest will definitely surprise a few for its variety. Positively that is, because with this album, their 3rd, El Caco has managed to blend more contemporary, challenging aural fold into their already well respected heavy soundscape. Self produced, as their debut album, and mostly recorded in Anders' and Thomas' own Sound Riot studios, they couldn't resist working with maestro Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames..) again. Bergstrand, who produced Solid Rest, invited the band back to Sweden to record all the vocals and take care of the mix. The total result is stunning. Black Balloon. 2006.
