Although he wouldn't create more than a few movie soundtracks, **Miles Davis'** music was used in dozens of films. This 2-CD set compiles **Miles'** only two early soundtracks, those of *Louis Malle's* 1958 film *Ascenseur pour l'échafaud* and the 1959 TV film *The Sound of Miles Davis,* along with the trumpeter's recordings that were used in various different films, among them his recent biopic *Miles Ahead.*
