'Faster Pussycat' is the debut album by the Los Angeles, CA., glam metal band of the same name. The name of the band is derived from the Russ Meyer film Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! Faster Pussycat mixed Glam Metal with more classic bands like Aerosmith to make a Hard Rock sound that was unique compared to other bands of the era. Faster Pussycat were part of an extremely healthy time for Rock N' Roll and with their self-titled 1987 debut 'Faster Pussycat' proves that they were simply more than just another Guns 'N Roses clone or a flash in the pan. Also in 1987, Faster Pussycat appeared in the rockumentary film, "The Decline of Western Civilization part 2 - The Metal Years".
