Last time Martin Gretschmann - as is Console & Acid Pauli - had been seen on streets in Berlin he sat on a bus, 06:00 a.m., was drinking a can of beer … it needs no further explanation about stars. With the band The Notwist he entered an omni-presence in 2008 again. For quite a few this band is like an idol. This is musically very appreciable, but we do neither share idol-worshipping, nor Acid Pauli lives any way of fame. Back to music. Barely found some time in between all these Notwist tours he discovered a new artist (Flug 8’s album came in May 09) for Smaul, played at a few of the better Techno parties, pushed his buddy Hometrainer, and - not at least - produced something new. Yes, he knows what to do once the shoe pinches. Dropped off the tour bus he has produced another 12“ (Smaul 06) that is all about Techno and Anti-Techno 2009 from the Acid Pauli point of view. A: Sidney 12:32 (symphonic) / B: Darwin 07:20 (dry hot chili pod). DJ Feedback: Benno Blome (Berlin, Sender): Sidney is a Killer Track. Henrik Bertsch (Berlin, Watergate): A great record Acid Pauli did again. Hometrainer (Munich, Doxa/Smaul): Sidney is an anthem, Darwin walks perfectly. Krause Duo (Jena, Musik Krause): With Sidney Acid Pauli left a mark. ARK (Paris, Perlon/Karat): Never heard of him before last year. Now I really appreciate his work. Laetitia (Paris, Karat): Nice - nicer. Chloé (Paris, Kill The DJ): Acid Pauli is a great producer. Bine (Frankfurt, Spineakle/Home): Did not realize how good his productions actually are. Zip (Berlin, Perlon): Acid Pauli gets a housy flavor, good. Tobias Thomas (Köln, Kompakt): Great new maxi he did. Turmspringer (Berlin, Doxa): Acid Pauli becomes a flagship. Superpitcher (Cologne, Kompakt): Really like his work. Mapache (Leipzig, Kann): Yes, he did it again. Anja Schneider (Berlin, Mobilee): I will keep an eye on this guy.
