In the Summer of 1979 Mascara, a studio only band conceived by Caister soul dj Chris Hill and German producer Jurgen S Korduletsch recorded the lost classic disco album 'See You in LA'. 'Golden Years' taken from the album was conceived in Chris's words as a filler track and a nice opportunity to do a Bowie cover version. The inspiration being that Luther Vandross, the virtually unknown session singer for this LP had just completed Bowies 'Young Americans Tour' as backing vocalist. Released for the first time on a 7" format and recorded from the original master and lovingly extended by the Homophono creative directors, this strictly limited official reissue is available for all tastemakers, Bowiephiles and those who like to dance. On glorious white vinyl.
