Essen-based band Festland get the remix treatment by Innervision's Marcus Worgull and Mild Pitch head honcho Manuel Tur. FESTLAND's music is based upon beats and sounds used in DJ culture, but played with a drumset, bass and keyboards. Let's call it krauthouse. They sing German lyrics written by a friend, the painter Fabian Weinecke. The band's latest album "Welt Verbrennt" received critical praise from the German press, making it into ZEIT magazine's list of 2010's best albums.
