One careless night results to the birth of Izunna, who, unlike his friends, was born outside wedlock. Circumstance separates his parents, Polia and Felix, causing Izunna to be raised alone by Polia, who didn't plan to be a parent at such an early age but had to carry her cross that life had laid on her, anyway. When the pressure of raising a son, all by herself, became unbearable for her, she started transferring her anger to her son, and in the process, created a love drought in him. Izunna came to believe that Polia didn't love him, and after a fruitless search for this love from his friends, he came to the conclusion that no one in the world did. Depression sets in, leading him to substance use and abuse. Destruction lurks in the corner, and his depression keeps pulling him closer and closer to her.
