Being Gay
Uchenna Stephen Anwuanwu
Kelechi Israel had a normal life for a long time; during that time he got married and had two kids. He found himself in a society where "Gay" was not just frowned at but was regarded as the worst of all crimes. So, being gay himself, in a homophobic country like Nigeria, he had no choice but to lie low and practice his "criminal act" in the closet. But as the saying goes - many days for a thief. Soon, his closet-doors pulled-off from their hinges and Kelechi is found out by everyone that he was, all this while, a gay man. Hails and brimstone are on their way. Kelechi has nowhere to run to. He must face the wrath of his society.
