Matt Murray is Australias number one private investigator. He recieves a call from an old friend Kishitani the owner of the giant Mitsui Japanese conglommerate based in Tokyo that is working for the U. S. government on a secret project. The Russians have developed new hypersonic missiles, fast, deadly and accurate deliverable into any country. The USA, Europe are exposed, a fast response is needed, enter Mitsui. Their mission is to build a computer virus that disables these weapons. Mitsui has a problem, their lead scientists working on the secret project have gone missing, and more serious they have had a breech / hack of their computer system and believe the prototype of the virus called' MATCH' has been stolen, it is worth billions in the wrong hands. Matt's team has to find the hacker, and rescue the MATCH virus before the encryption is opened, a race aganst time. The story unfolds as the world crime gangs (Yakusa, Mafia) and powers opposed to the USA and imperialism ( Iran, Syria, Iraq) chase the hacked file. Corruption, sinister characters of the under world along with secret agents lead to torture, killings across the globe. Amongst this background the Russian President brimming with confidence, and he decides to declare war using his new missiles. Something goes wrong, the missiles guidance system does not work.....the Kremlin do not know why.
