Dead Bodies: Matt Murray P.I. Series - Matt Murray

A container arrives at Sydney Kingsford Smith airport, inside they find five dead charred Chines nationals with small pieces of paper scattered with Chinese symbols on them. No one knows who they are or what the symbols mean. The NSW police draw a blank after weeks of investigation and C. I. Lindley calls in Matt Murray Australia's No 1 P. I. to solve the case. Through the murky underground of Sydneys Chinatown his team and police find a conspiracy involving the Wu Triads in Australia and China / Hong Kong. The trail leads them to Langdon in China the home of the Terracotta Army. Under the official warehouse for the terracotta army they find a labrynth of tunnes, ( also, secret old tablets in the tunnel walls with chinese symbols), used by the triads to make drugs and transport terracotta pieces secretly. The Wu triads led by Yeh, Niko and Razor try to keep their secret at any cost and the body count grows as they fight the authorities and use Chinese torture n their captives. Here they find a trail of the five dead bodies found in the container, their names go back centuries to the book 'the five tailed turtles' and settlement in Australia in 600BC. The Wu triads were looking for gold and mercury highly prized by the Emperor. Using their combined forces they uncover the Chinese Wu Triads have been stealing pieces of the Terracotta Army to sell on the black market and using them as mules to distribute drugs into Australia and around the world. The racket is worth billions and Australian politicians, Chinese officials and business men are implicated.
