The National frontman Matt Berninger follows up his critically acclaimed second solo album Get Sunk (2025) with the EP Type It Up, which collects three new original songs and two striking interpretations of alternative classics: New Order's "Blue Monday" and The Velvet Underground's "Who Loves The Sun", the latter recorded together with American singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash.

The release stems from the creative energy of the Get Sunk tour, where Berninger continuously experimented with new songs, changed lyrics, and tested ideas in front of an audience.

The vinyl edition will be released on December 4, 2026, on pink vinyl and includes an exclusive sixth bonus track: an acoustic live version of "Martini Me Fatso", recorded in Australia.
